NDTV presented awards to Indian heroes for the year 2007 in a glittering function held at hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. The function was presided by dignitaries, celebrities and other well-known personalities.

Here's the list of winners in various categories. The top prize, the NDTV Indian of the Year award went to the PROUD INDIAN SOLDIERS.

A.R Rehman, who continues to give one musical hit after the other was given NDTV's Music Award.

The unsung hero, the Indian Soldier, an award that was accepted jointly by the three Chiefs.

Global Indian award went to Dr R K Pachauri

The big award- Leader of the Year 2007- Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accepted the award.
